Caregiver Highlight Story:

Tanisha Trapps

For the month of September, we are proud to recognize Tanisha Trapps as our Caregiver of the Month. Tanisha was the unanimous choice, as she has consistently demonstrated our company’s core values of compassion and reliability. She is an excellent communicator who genuinely cares about her clients, and treats everyone around her with respect. Dedicated and highly dependable, Tanisha has been a valued member of our team for the past three years. Her clients described her by saying, “She is extremely reliable, I can depend on her to be there.” We are deeply grateful for the work ethic and kindness she brings to our team.

Her path to Peace at Homecare is truly unique and a testament to her character. Her mother, Angela used to work with the company originally. She then moved down south, while she was working with a client by the name of Larry at the time. Larry’s daughter was so fond of Angela that she frequently asked her to return, even after she had moved away. Angela was unable to return as she was caring for her sister, who was recovering from back surgery.

This situation motivated Tanisha to step in, following in her mother’s footsteps to ensure that Larry received the same compassionate care. Her deep concern for Larry and her commitment to following in her mother’s footsteps led her to join Peace at Homecare, where she has been an invaluable member of our team ever since. Her story and path to joining our team is reflective of Tanisha’s kind heart and dedication to others.

Outside of work, Tanisha is a devoted mother to her four-year-old son. She says being a mom keeps her busy, but when she does have free time, she enjoys a variety of hobbies. These include fishing, listening to music, traveling, cooking new recipes, and just being in nature. She listens to just about every genre of music, except for hard rock and heavy metal.
Tanisha’s dream vacation always involves the warm weather. She went on an eight day cruise with her family and son, visiting Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk—a trip described to be very memorable. In her downtime, Tanisha also enjoys watching any TV series that has to do with investigation. She noted one of her all time favorite movies is Coming to America.

We are honored to celebrate Tanisha this month. Her dependability and thoughtfulness make her an outstanding caregiver and an easy choice for this recognition.

Caregiver Highlight Story:

Amy Karp

We are thrilled to recognize Amy Karp as our caregiver of the month for August. Each month, our administrative team selects a caregiver who embodies outstanding dedication and compassion, and this August, Amy Karp has been chosen as our exemplary representative.

Amy demonstrates remarkable dedication to her clients, consistently going above and beyond to ensure their needs are met. She often uses her free time to check in on clients and has provided support during crises. Her unwavering compassion and commitment make her a standout caregiver.

When reaching out to her clients' family members, they were excited to hear about Amy’s recognition. The family shared, “Amy has been not just a caregiver but also a valued companion for Howie.” Other family members also added, “Knowing and trusting Amy made it easier for Dad to accept the additional caregiving that he needs now.”

Amy's caregiving journey began at Saint Joes. Around that time, she had crossed paths with Moira as they had shared a common client. Later, she was able to reconnect with Moira thus embarking on her journey at Peace at Homecare in 2019.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her ideal weekend would be spent kayaking and camping in Alex Bay. Amy’s go to music choice is music of the 70s to the 90s and her top vacation spots include Hawaii and the Caribbean.

Caregiver Highlight Story:

Cheryl Johnson

We are proud to honor Cheryl Johnson as our first Caregiver Highlight. Each month, our administrative staff selects a caregiver who exemplifies exceptional dedication and compassion, and this month, Cheryl was unanimously chosen.

Cheryl has been a valued member of Peace at Homecare for over two years, consistently demonstrating hard work and a kind heart. Her contributions do not go unnoticed. One of her clients shared, “I love her. I didn’t have to ask her to do anything, and more importantly, she makes me laugh.”

Outside of her professional commitments, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her grandson and children. Her journey to Peace at Homecare was inspired by her extensive background in caregiving. Having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) years ago, she later transitioned to becoming a private home care aide. It was through a friend's recommendation that she discovered Peace at Homecare, and she has been a dedicated member of our team ever since.

Her perfect weekend is characterized by relaxing on the beach. Cheryl is an avid fan of music, with B.B. King being her favorite musician.
